IIDA Dressed 2022

Lights. Camera. Action. The IIDA Georgia Chapter transported everyone back in time to the 90’s Oscar’s during one of their biggest annual events, Dressed! Designers have the opportunity to create out-of-the-box outfits using non-traditional materials provided by sponsors. A percentage of ticket sales from the event are donated to Dress for Success Atlanta.

This year’s theme, 90’s Oscar’s Remastered, challenged designers to take Oscar-winning/nominated 90’s movies and remaster the spirit of these films into fashionable ensembles.

NBA’s interior design studio was tasked with remastering the epic 1995 historical war film, Braveheart. The group used their sponsoring manufacturer’s products (woven upholstery and decorative vinyl fabric, mosaic tiles and LED lighting strips) to transform team model and TileBar representative, Liz Allen, into a fashionably fierce warrior. “Kudos to every member of the team for their creativity, hard work, dedication and determination. They are truly the ‘Brave at Heart’,” commented Interior Designer Akitee Lewis-White.
