Summary
How do you re-image a 1960s Atlanta office building as a modern gathering and working environment? The NBA interiors team took a late mid-century modern Buckhead Landmark, located at the most prominent intersection in Buckhead, and gave it a vibrant new life. A sense of openness and light was created from a very dark, traditional interior. LED back-lighted wall panels that wrap the elevator core, a visible concierge desk, curved-patterned quartz flooring, sustainable wood and linear lighting all coalesce to give the lobby a fresh contemporary aesthetic. Vibrant accents in seating and custom-commissioned metal sculptures create visual “pop”. These solutions also serve to emphasize the Owner’s desire to visually connect the renovated building to its “sister” building on the same corner. On the exterior, a new entry marquee sign that utilizes “RGB” technology, to both draw attention and compliment the area’s event and holiday displays.
