andy martin, aia
Sr. Project Architect
In architecture, the smallest detail can have huge consequences, so Andy overlooks nothing, paying meticulous attention to every element from design through construction. Underpinning his success is a how-can-we-do-better credo that he applies both personally and professionally.
With an extensive background in commercial architecture, Andy has become a go-to person on steel construction and fabrication detailing within the firm. He’s always eager to listen to new ideas and differing opinions, promoting the kind of close communication that is inherent in finding the best solutions to problems. His ability to coordinate with internal and external teams during the documentation phase leads to more thorough drawings for owners and contractors, avoiding possible hitches down the road. Of late, his projects have focused on light rail and bus transportation and transit-oriented design, as well as multifamily housing, townhomes, and mixed-use developments. He was a ULI Atlanta Award for Excellence finalist for his work on the Birmingham Intermodal transportation hub.
Andy received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of AIA Atlanta Young Architects and the Council for Quality Growth Emerging Leaders Initiative. He’s also a member of NBA’s Revit Committee and a past officer of the Young Professional Forum. Andy is a frequent presenter at internal lunch and learns, attends career fairs to identify and interview potential employees, and is involved with the firm’s Technical Advisory Council.
