As an award-winning designer with over 42 years of professional experience, Dale designs buildings that become part of the regional vernacular and develops master plans that demand a high level of skill in new construction, expansion and renovation. His diverse portfolio incorporates retail, office, educational, student and residential housing, providing him with a “big picture” viewpoint.
Dale draws on his wide-ranging experience and ability to connect with clients to uncover the best solution for all components of a project and achieve positive results. Dale’s current focus is working on project development for multifamily communities and student housing.
Dale earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His studies included a year abroad at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. While completing graduate school, Dale won first place in the national design competition for the Lloyd Warren Fellowship, and spent a year studying modern and historic architecture in London, Rome, and Kyoto, Japan. He has been with NBA since 1996 and has been honored with the Atlanta Urban Design Award of Excellence and a Mixed-Use Renovation Award. In 2009, College Planning & Management published his article “Tailoring Student Housing to the Academic Vision.”
