There’s always something new to learn, which is what drives Jim to seek out knowledge from colleagues, consultants, and outside institutions. He’s able to draw on those resources to develop design solutions for problematic site conditions.

In Jim’s view, getting input and buy-in from all project stakeholders is critical in maintaining design schedules. Acutely aware of how a design document can ease or play havoc with a project’s delivery, he takes a lead in coordination, documentation, and construction contract administration efforts. He has a passion for the multifamily residential sector, with one of his projects earning honors in 2021 as a national finalist for the NAHB’s mid-rise apartment community award and has recently worked in student housing and office-to-residential conversions.

Jim attended the Illinois Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Architecture.
