Ken is adept at creating a sense of place, where people want to live or work. An active participant in all phases of the design process, he works with studio team members, clients and outside consultants, overseeing building code and accessibility review, documentation, coordination and construction administration.
Recognized for his facility to manage large-scale, complex projects, Ken is often involved in offerings that require close collaboration with developers, construction representatives, public officials and code inspectors. His ability to zero in on solutions ensures all of the team members will achieve their potential and contribute to the success of each project. Recently, he has focused on meeting the challenges of student housing. His design for Valdosta State University’s Hopper Hall is an award-winning example.
Ken did Field Study in Florence, Italy, and earned a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University. A veteran of 33 years, he is NCARB certified and has been with NBA since 1996.
