The Children's Campus at Georgia Tech
Atlanta, Georgia

Summary
Located on the ground level of the existing Family Apartments Building, the Child Development Center (CDC) at Georgia Tech is a 10,400-sf childcare facility that caters to children from birth through Pre-School. The campus is designed to be an ancillary facility to the current Bright Horizons CDC nearby. The center houses seven total classrooms - two infant/toddler classrooms, two 2- and 3-year-old classrooms and three Pre-School classrooms. The 2- and 3-year-olds and Pre-Schoolers share a 2,871-sf playground which is surfaced with a recycled “rubber mulch.” In addition to many staff areas, such as a resources room, conference room and a file / copy room, the food service for the facility is from a commercial kitchen and laundry service is also on site. At the end of the corridor is a common indoor play area with partial height walls for use by the children when the weather is bad or for group activity times.
