Heather Clark, RID
Sr. Project Interior Designer
A happy client makes the project and everyone’s life easier, a maxim Heather always keeps top of mind. She accomplishes that feat through a laser focus on the tiniest details and technical aspects of a project.
Heather derives enormous satisfaction in seeing a project through from design development to construction documents, working through challenges, finding solutions and keeping the entire team up to speed. She takes her cues from the clients, always checking that the design accommodates the functions required for the space. In collaborating with consultants, Heather’s review oversight ensures that their work remains fully coordinated and consistent with NBA drawings to prevent errors on site. And her experience extends beyond interior design. She has provided full architectural assistance on various projects, from retail development site plans to shell building construction drawings. Her involvement with different phases of the project process gives her a more complete understanding of construction and how to put together effective drawings and details. In her two years at NBA, she has worked on off-campus student housing, multifamily communities, a private airport hangar, and a corporate lobby, with several projects nominated for design awards.
She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of West Georgia. Since joining NBA, Heather has been working on construction document standards for her department. She is helping to create a master-template library of design details, drawing legends and notes to streamline the production of construction documents and give them a cohesive look.
