Employee Spotlight: David Xu

David Xu, an architectural designer at NBA, was selected as one of 265 athletes representing over 44 nations around the world to compete in the 7th running of the Swissman Xtreme Triathlon!

Swissman is a self-supported point to point race, and it began at five in the morning with a swim in Largo Maggiore in Ascona (in 59-degree water), followed by a 180k bike ride through the major Alpine passes of Gotthard, Furka, and Grimsel, then a marathon run that ended with a 10k trek up to the Kleine Scheidegg.

 “I was able to complete it in roughly 18 and a half hours,” David said. “An amazing way to get to see a beautiful country like Switzerland. Highly recommend visiting there if you haven’t been!”

David graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, and he joined the firm in 2013. You can learn more about David’s triathlon here.
