Summary
Athens, Georgia is home to one of the most popular SEC universities, where southern style “bleeds” red and black. However, for this 210-bed student housing project the client approached our team with the challenge to go against the grain and develop a design reflective of the property’s branding colors. A design that would transport you someplace else, rather than play to the normalcy of the college town. The interior concept for the 9,100 sf of amenity space was centered on the relaxed West Coast style, blending whites and blacks with pops of color, pattern and graphics. To keep the design authentic, we sourced imagery from local California photographers capturing destinations along the coast. The eclectic mix of furniture sets off each space, blending multiple furniture styles and bringing unexpected personality.
