One Vinings Mountain
Cobb County, Georgia

Summary
Building on the highest elevation inside Interstate 285 presented enormous challenges, but the sweeping views of downtown Atlanta and the Chattahoochee River from this gracefully curved, 156-unit condominium proved well worth the difficulty. Throughout the planning and architecture, NBA considered the historic nature of Mt. Wilkinson, rumored to be where the Union general William Tecumseh Sherman watched Atlanta burn. Today’s residents hover above the Vinings community, watching the sun set on the city. In a nod to preserving the area’s unique significance, the development uses only three of the site’s almost 11 acres, with the remainder donated to Cobb County for conservation.
