NBA employees participated in the 2019 Exploring Engineering STEM Academy held at Georgia Tech! The week-long camp offers high school students the opportunity to be exposed to the engineering field through various sessions and activities. This is the firm’s seventh year volunteering with the camp, giving NBAers the chance to share what they’ve learned so far in their careers and inspire future designers. One of the camp coordinators expressed how excited the kids always get about the “super cool architecture session.”

During the session, the NBA team gave a presentation about the architectural field as well as a video showcasing the firm’s work. The students then broke into small teams to participate in a design charette with the challenge of creating an “inhabitable billboard.” Each team’s design was displayed on the board, and several of the kids couldn’t wait to talk about what their groups had created!

Thank you to our NBA volunteers and to STEM Academy for allowing the company to participate in such an inspiring program!
