2021 Summer Interns Tour Camden Buckhead in the West Village

Before we said goodbye to our wonderful 2021 summer interns, we gave them a proper send-off with a tour of Camden Buckhead in the West Village neighborhood! Just a short walk from NBA’s Atlanta office, the group packed up their hard hats and vests and set out to the 336-unit multifamily development. The site visit was led by Project Architect Katherine Uhrin, Managing Director of Architecture Cannon Reynolds, and Director of Design Brian Ward. The trio explained that the property is part of Camden’s multiphase redevelopment of a former 30-acre site in the heart of Buckhead. The land parcel already includes Camden Paces, (phase one of the redevelopment and delivered in 2015), Regions Bank, and space for offices, restaurants and shopping.

During the tour, the group got to hear more about the design process from our all-star project team. “There were two residential buildings in different construction phases, so we got to see one building [400] that was pretty much done and one building [500] that was still under construction,” said summer intern, Lexi Oran. With Building 400 currently leasing and Building 500 opening in April 2022, we are excited to see phase two of the redevelopment nearly complete!
